Many states are still at the federal minimum level of $2.13 while California and the northwest are around $10 an hour. The federal level needs to be raised.

The IRS reports that the highest wage in the bottom half of earners is about $34,000. To be eligible for food assistance, a family can earn up to 130% of the federal poverty line, or about $30,000.

Why shouldn't we stop all immigration & protect high paying jobs for our kin?

Every immigrant that comes in takes away a job of a US citizen, or depresses the wages of all citizens. So, why not stop immigration and train our citizens to fill all of the high paying jobs here.

Using taxpayer funds to bailout corporation without economic return to citizens is unconscionable. If companies fail, corporate officers should have their assets seized and be change criminally.

How will you bring jobs back from China and Mexico, be specific?

The major issue is that in manufacturing, the average hourly worker in China and Mexico makes less than $1 per hour. In the U.S, average hourly rate in manufacturing is $20 per hour.
